Introductory Course
This course is the ideal introduction into racquet stringing. It is aimed at people looking to get a taste of what racquet stringing involves before they fully commit to a more intense course. It can also be used by parents of junior players, or the players themselves to get a better understand of this skill. Not only does it cover how to string a racquet, but it includes information about different types of string and how to understand the technology used within the racquets.

Overview of course
A one day course will cover the following :-
- Discussion of string properties and characteristics,
- Discussion of frame properties and characteristics,
- Instruction on how to string a tennis racquet which will cover: -
- Removal of string in a correct manner,
- Measuring of string,
- Correct stringing methods,
- Handling of string.
- Attendees have opportunity to spend half a day stringing a tennis racquet,
- Removal and replacing grips, both base and overgrip &
- Replacing bumper/grommet strips,
The course may also cover the following: -
- How tennis racquet aren’t always made to advertised specifications and what it means to a player,
- How to set up a tennis racquet to avoid or alleviate injuries

- The effects of choosing the wrong strings
- Using proper and sound techniques,

Notes
Courses will be provided by instructors who: -
- Are qualified to MPS level or higher,
- have strung a several Grand Slam tournaments including Wimbledon,
- have strung at ITF futures, ATP Challengers, and ATP/WTA Tour events,
- Babolat, Head and Prince stringing machines will be used on all course to aid the ease of learning of the attendees,
- All equipment will be supplied for the courses including tennis racquets, strings, grips and bumper/grommet strips.
